Hepatitis A

Hepatitis A is a virus that causes liver swelling and can make people feel sick. It spreads easily when someone eats food or drinks water contaminated with tiny amounts of poop from an infected person.

Simplified Hepatitis A Vaccine Schedule in India

For Children (12 months and older):

Hepatitis B

Hepatitis B is a viral infection caused by the hepatitis B virus (HBV) that attacks the liver and can cause both acute and chronic disease.

For some, it is a short-term illness, but for others, it can become a lifelong chronic infection that leads to serious health issues like cirrhosis and liver cancer.

HBV is transmitted through contact with infected blood and other bodily fluids.

It is not spread through casual contact like sneezing, coughing, or sharing eating utensils.

Recommended Schedule

Infant schedule
